Board of Selectmen
Q:
When does the Board of Selectmen meet?
A: Generally, the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. Check the town website meeting calendar or town house bulletin board to confirm if there are any additional meetings.
Q: How can I serve on a board or committee?
A: The Selectmen’s Office maintains a list of all openings on boards/committees. This is also posted on the website. http://www.southboroughtown.com/boards/boards_vacancies.htm
You can either download a volunteer form or request one from the Selectmen’s Office. Please be sure to send a resume as well. Forms should be returned to the Selectmen’s Office.
Q: Do the Selectmen have office hours?
A: No. If you would like to speak to a selectman, you may call the Selectmen’s Office and leave a message. The staff will make sure they receive it. The Selectmen’s Office is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 12 Noon on Fridays.

Q: Where can I find information regarding activities?
A: You can subscribe to the Council on Aging newsletter by contacting their offices, or you can sign up online through the Council on Aging website.

Q: Is there a fee to sign up for the Council on Aging newsletter?
A: No, there is no fee.
Q: What are the Nurse’s hours?
A: Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Q: Where can I get info on Transfer Station Stickers?
A: You can get info on Transfer Station Stickers from the Southboro Dept. of Public Works Building next to the Transfer Station.
Q: What do I need to bring with me to get/renew my Transfer Station Sticker?
A: Copies of the resident’s valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and proof of residency must accompany the application whether the transaction is being performed in person or by mail ** Valid proof of residency will be in the form of a utility bill, from the current or the preceding month, addressed to the resident at the Southborough address or other documentation as approved by the DPW Superintendent. A water bill or property tax bill will not be considered as proof of residency.
Q: Where do I file a claim for snow plow damages?
A: You can file a claim for snow plow damages with the Town Clerk’s office.
Q: Where do I get information regarding streetlight and other public light outages?
