Payment of Property, Personal, Excise taxes and Water bills may be made during these hours, or online.


You may email us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with inquiries about your tax bill.

Residents of the Town of Southborough can now pay their Excise, Personal Property, Real Estate taxes, Water, and Transfer Station fees online.
This payment method serves to accommodate those residents who want the convenience of paying their taxes and fees online, anytime day or night. It also benefits the town in that payments are processed automatically, allowing town employees faster balance reconciliation
and more time to work on other town issues.

To pay bills online:
Please have your tax bill account # ready as shown on your real estate bill.
(example: 3-32).
Credit cards, checking account debits, and debit cards are accepted. (We are not able to accept VISA at this time.)
Please note: Checking account debits are FREE of charge.
Credit card and debit card fees vary and will be disclosed before your transaction is complete.

Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Treasurer & Collector is to act as the Town’s receipting and disbursing agent of public financial assets in order to maximize the utilization and safekeeping of Town funds.

The Office of the Treasurer and Collector of Taxes is responsible for the timely billing and collection of 65% of the Town’s operating revenues. This equates to the issuance of approximately 39,000 billings annually. The department also functions as the disbursing agent for the Town - in which payroll and vendor checks in the excess of 16,000 checks and direct deposit vouchers are issued annually.

The department also issues all authorized debt for both short and long term borrowing.
