Proposed Zoning
This page contains the latest information regarding the proposed update to the Town’s Zoning By-Law. As many of you know, the Zoning Advisory Committee (ZAC) was formed in 2008 to review the existing Zoning By-Law in order to implement the goals and objectives of the Town’s Master Plan, as well as an overall diagnostic of the By-Law to ensure internal consistency, conformance with State and Federal laws, and improved clarity of language. The ZAC completed its work in Spring 2012.
The new, proposed Zoning By-Law will be presented to a Special Town Meeting in early 2013. Between now and that time a formal Public Hearing will take place over several dates coincident with meetings of the Planning Board (the first of these posted dates will be September 24, 2012).
